Walk in my diesels

Up  before the sun on Saturday morning, not intentionally but  you  make the  best of it.  Hobble  downstairs  stiff and sore,  your feet hurt,  your back  hurts, you have your typical morning headache, you slept like  crap  but hey you do know  that you are alive!!   Make your way to the miracle maker…. ( most people call them a  Keurig but not you…) it’s set to come on at 5 AM on it’s own,  but that’s  still  more than an  hour away….turn it on and, put in  the second to last  Starbucks  Tribute Blend  K-Cup …. you feel  a sadness that  there’s  only one left,   but it’s OK  you still have  6 boxes  of Tribute  VIA  that consoles you…. Flat Stanley’s Visit to Washington State from Indiana

We were  honored to be the host of  a  Flat Stanley  from the son  of a friend of mine that I grew up with,   from grade school  or possibly even earlier than that…. our  Dad’s  were friends and   coached us in  sports… here’s a photo of  my friend, his Dad (Back row right) and I along with the rest of the team… from waaaaaaaaaaayyyy   back in 1977….because this is   on the internet   I’m only going  to  tell you  that I  am the  2nd from the  right  in the  back row of kids…… and that  I was terrible  at  basketball  even though in Indiana, tall  kids are   supposed to  be born good at it…. Murder of a Symbol

WDFW POLICE NEED YOUR HELP – On January 9th four dead eagles were discovered floating in a lake outside of Granite Falls (Snohomish Co). The four eagles were retrieved by officers on January 10th. Initial observations suggests at least three of the birds were killed using a small caliber rifle. It appears that the birds had been perched in trees before they fell to their death into the water. Forever Family Day – Release 11/16/12

Today was  National  Adoption Day…. And we gained 2  beautiful   family members today: A  beautiful  Niece  – Savannah and a  handsome nephew  Anthony.  Their parents are my Brother and sister-in-law Russell and Patty Johnson.  The  ceremony was very special  and the reception afterwards was  beautiful and moving.  Continue reading

Part 1 – Da Doc

Friday morning started with me working from home because I had a Dr’s appt at noon… my cheeks had  red “stripes” like I was wearing rouge and  was painful to the touch… I’d been fighting a  sinus infection for about a month or so and it finally got to the point where my body needed some assistance… chemical assistance..  so off to the  Dr. I go… My Dr.  has been “my Dr” for roughly 15 years, she’s  seen me through some nasty stuff…a Pulmonary Embolism that nearly killed me,  ruptured  disks in my back, several  cysts that have had to be removed, along with  my normal  high blood pressure and cholesterol… along with many other thing over the years…we always  spend some time in our appointments just catching up and  chatting about her life and my life… Continue reading

WOO HOOO I’m on Vacation!!  At my day job at  Starbucks we use the “federal” fiscal  calendar, so our year  is  October –  Sept …we have a “use it or lose  it”  policy for vacation….  I had 1 day left to use before the end of the month….  What better use  than to  use that as a Sarvey day?!?! I’m sure some of you  are thinking  um I can think of about 50 ways I’d rather use that… and I can only think of 1… my family  and since they are all  either working or in school    I’m going to  “donate” that day to Sarvery  Wildlife Care Center…..
